We also have some rifles with scrubbed German markings having only the Lion of Judah for Abyssinian Empire. Most rifles have Imperial German markings.

This is a nice example that still has the walnut stock and all of the early features before the wartime expediencies in production occurred. The rifle is all matching down even to the cleaning rod which we do not see matching very often. Its always nice to get one made by the original manufacturer. This example is 1916 dated and was made by Mauser Oberndorf and not by one of the subcontractors or military arsenals. In excellent minus all matching condition, with an excellent bore, we have a great example of the German WW1 Gewehr 98 Service rifle.
